sometime during the late 80s i stopped following music. i kept my musical tastes to what little education i was able to glean in middle and high school. classic rock, the stones, the beatles, classical music which meant mostly piano pieces. that was it, and remained it for the longest time. [...]

music is a social archetype. music was created for others to enjoy, as a sharing experiment, within a sharing environment. musicians used to be and still are social animals. music lovers, listeners used to be social animals too. maybe not anymore?
