favorite music: pretty much anything but reggae, heavy metal, techno, punk rock… am in strong need of expanding my musical horizon though, so feel free to leave recommendations.
favorite tv shows: don’t watch tv. gosh, what a relief! still I seem to remember le manege enchante or even kiri le clown – for those in the know, take a few minutes to remember these two French tv gems with me (trotte trotte ma jument…)
favorite movies: touch of evil, trouble in paradise, casablanca, the godfather 1 and 2, the rules of the game, blade runner, chinatown, city lights, citizen kane, double indemnity, dr strangelove, gone with the wind, the informer, last picture show, manhattan, ran, kagemusha, miller’s crossing, rashomon, north by northwest, a nous la liberte, paths of glory, raging bull, the searchers, some like it hot, 39 steps, the lady vanishes, 2001 space odyssey, the gold rush, bycicle thief, la grande illusion, seven samurai, tokyo story, vertigo, les enfants du paradis, m, sunrise, 8 1/2, e la nave va, … and i could add more but will stop here.
favorite books: blood meridian, the mountain, the glass bead game, the plague, the stranger, don quichote, brothers karamazov, the idiot, anything by proust, anything by nabokov, … plus many others that do not come to mind right now. i am also a voracious reader. you can check my current/recent reading list on linkedin but you will have to link with me first.
